Aldi sells 10-inch netbook with an Atom N450 CPU
The Medion Akoya E1222 comes with 1.66 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and 250 GB hard drive. His 16:9 display 1024 to solve by 600 pixels. It is available as of Thursday for 299 euros.
Aldi offers from Thursday, 4 March, a 10-inch netbook based on Intel’s Pine Trail platform with the Atom N450 processor and pre-installed on Windows 7 starter. The Medion Akoya E1222 (MD 98,240) costs 299 euros.
The 1.66 GHz Atom CPU stand for 1 GB of DDR2 RAM and a 250 GB hard disk to the side. As the integrated graphics solution in the processor Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 is used. The 10-inch LED-backlit display dissolves with the usual for this size in 1024 by 600 pixels.
The remaining features include WLAN 802.11b/g/n (), Fast Ethernet, integrated VGA webcam with microphone, Bluetooth 2.1, integrated stereo speakers and a Multitouchpad. Medion also built a solid keyboard, in which all the keys are taken separately. For the connection of peripheral devices include a 4-in-1 card reader, three USB ports and a VGA output.
The Akoya E1217 measures 26.6 times 18 times 4.6 inches and weighs around 1.2 kilograms. The power supply is a 6-cell lithium-ion battery. A software package for image processing software (Corel Draw Essentials 4, CyberLink YouPaint), the playback software PowerDVD, the webcam tool Cyberlink YouCam, the Office suite, Microsoft Works 9 and trial versions of Microsoft Office Home & Student Edition 2007 and BullGuard Internet Security is included.
The Medion Akoya E1222 is available as of Thursday, both at Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd in black or silver. The warranty is 36 months.
